John Dominick IIIJohn Dominick III, bass

Birthplace: Pineville, Louisiana.

Career Highlights: Engagements with The St. Cecilia Chorus: Soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Verdi’s Requiem, C.P.E. Bach’s Magnificat and Mozart’s Requiem, all at Carnegie Hall. Also, Colline in Puccini’s La bohème with Jefferson Performing Arts Society, Ferrando in Verdi’s Il trovatore with New York Opera Forum, Frank Maurrant in Weill’s Street Scene, the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado, Publius in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, King Balthazar in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Delaware Valley Opera; Bide-the-Bent in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor with Family Opera, Pistola in Verdi’s Falstaff with Sarasota Opera, Inmate 4 in Heggie’s Dead Man Walking with New York City Opera, the Bonze in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Sparafucile in Verdi’s Rigoletto, and Joe in Kern’s Showboat with Natchez Opera Festival;  the Four Villains in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann with the Martina Arroyo Foundation, Servant in Verdi’s I due Foscari with Opera Orchestra of New York and Compère in Virgil Thompson’s Four Saints with Encompass Opera; numerous concert appearances in the United States and Germany with Career Bridges, including an engagement with the Pueblo Symphony in Colorado. 

Awards: The Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges; The Licia Albanese  Foundation, the Sergio Franchi Memorial Foundation.

Upcoming Performances: Wagner’s Rienzi with the Opera Orchestra of New York, Schubert’s Mass in E Flat with The St. Cecilia Chorus.
