Christopher CreaghanChristopher Creaghan, organist

Christopher Creaghan holds bachelor's and master's degrees in organ performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with McNeil Robinson. For six years he served as music director and organist for St. Joseph's Church in Greenwich Village, where he produced a CD recording of the parish's professional choir. He was previously associate organist for The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City, where he frequently appeared with orchestra on the Sacred Music in a Sacred Space concert series. The New York Times favorably reviewed his undergraduate recital there. He has been a finalist in the Fort Wayne National Competition and the Canadian National Competition, and has recorded for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Mr. Creaghan is organist for Temple Israel of New Rochelle, is a board member of the New York City AGO Chapter, and is on the faculty of the Mannes College of Music. He has given recitals in many New York City churches, including The Park Avenue Christian Church, The Church of the Ascension, St. Mary the Virgin, St. Patrick's Cathedral and The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. He has toured Eastern Europe with The Canticum Novum Singers and has appeared with The Dessoff Choirs, at the Berkshire Choral Festival, and at the Bard Music Festival with the American Symphony Orchestra. He is Dean of the New York City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and has served on the board for several years in various capacities.
